Like most of those, it disappeared into the aether when the PS3 and Xbox 360 gave way to the next generation of consoles. Beyond that disappointment, The Science of Evil was another in a long line of mediocre-at-best movie tie-in games. This, however, was diminished somewhat by the fact that a panned DLC that made Johnson playable on consoles (with the iconic Bruce Campbell providing his voice) was never released. Mignola's involvement in the game explains the inclusion of references to pulp crime fighter Lobster Johnson, a deep cut for comic book fans. Safe to say, this trailer elicited a strong reaction from the audience during the event. Ron Perlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones all lent their voices to the game. Trailer Hellboy Web of Wyrd - World Premiere Trailer The Game Awards 2022 Hellboy: Web of Wyrd was originally unveiled at the Game Awards with its world premiere trailer, which we've embedded above. That status did give the game some appeal for Hellboy fans. While Dogs of the Night may have been ported to PlayStation in an attempt to capitalize on Hellboy's cinematic debut, The Science of Evil was a full-on movie tie-in game. His take, that it makes the middling action game Neverdead look like the polished gameplay of at least the first two Bayonettagames, is in line with The Science of Evil's critical reception.
